10 Best Women’s Underwear for Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits are a staple for any well-dressed lady’s wardrobe, as they are elegant and perfect to wear in almost any season. One quandary seems to endure, however, for as long as the beloved garments remain in our closets -- what kind of underwear should you wear with them?

The question of what type of underwear to wear with a jumpsuit is not easily answered, and it’s ultimately up to each lady to resolve according to her own ideas and preferences. There are a few guidelines recommended on the matter, though, and we’ll be discussing those today.

Top 10 Best Types of Underwear for Jumpsuits

Fruit of the Loom Fit for Me Women's Heather Briefs

Pro: Pretty heather colors and prints.
Con: Some reported size chart provided is inaccurate.

Full, smooth coverage: Available in 5 sizes for the plus sized girls, these 50% cotton and 50% polyester panties are perfectly pantyline-free while also being soft, comfy, and tagless. They also fit well (as long as you assess your size properly) with no annoying roll-down.

The downside: The provided size guide has caused many a return. Some previous customers reported it was off and resulted in them ordering underwear several sizes too large. (A few others said it was exactly correct for their sizing, however.)

AmorFati Women’s Soft Lace Cheeky No Panty Line Bikini Underwear Seamless Briefs

Pro: Magically invisible pantylines.
Con: Some say they run small.

Lacey, line-free panties: These beauties bring a burst of color (match them to your jumpsuit please) and a pretty backside slathered in floral lace and scalloped edges.

Keep them that way by hand washing every time with air drying only -- forget about their machine washing inside the laundry bag and tumble dry instructions. They’re sure to shorten the lifespan of your lovely lace -- hand washing is the way to go.

One negative aspect is they’re reported to run small. (If you normally wear a medium, you may as well go ahead and order a large).

Chantelle Women's Soft Stretch One Size Seamless Brief

Pro: One size fits all convenience.
Con: Some reported these are ‘just average’.

French-designed seamless 3-pack:  Available in ultra nude and black fitting sizes XS-XL, these French-designed seamless briefs are comprised of innovative fabric that can be stretched into any shape necessary, bouncing immediately back to their original status once removed.

So comfy, you feel like you really aren’t wearing any undies at all. They’re lightweight, has a 100% cotton gusset, and can be machine washed.

For the downside on these, some were less dazzled and felt they were “just average” in every way.

Victoria's Secret Panties Bikini Seamless

Pro: Stretchy with V’s Secret waist band.
Con: A little pricey for one pair of panties.

Victoria’s Secret quality: Available in 10 sharp colors with a tasteful Victoria’s Secret waist band, these mid-rise bikini panties are sexy to wear alone, but impossible to see when wearing your jumpsuit. Choose your selection from 5 possible sizes.

Downside? You may pay this much for one pair of bikini underwear, but some might say it’s too much. It’d be better as a 2 or 3-pack, although Victoria’s Secret are usually fairly durable if handled with care.

Wacoal Women's Skinsense Hi Cut Brief Panty

Pro: Super comfortable, fits like a second skin.
Con: Expensive.

Slide them on and forget you’re wearing them: These give a luxurious feeling and impeccable fit, and yes, you deserve it. Put them on, slip your jumpsuit on over them, and then forget you’ve got them on for the rest of the day. A silky smooth waistband ties it all together and gently tops off the elegant experience. Choose from four sizes and 14 stunning colors with fun names like love potion, bodacious, cognac, and desert flower.

Hand wash these please. Previous customers reported they dry easily if hung out overnight.

The only downside to these is the price. We think they might be worth it if you stick with only hand washing them to keep them in perfect condition, however.

Boody Body EcoWear Women's Seamless Thong Panties

Pro: Eco-friendly with lots of innovation.
Con: Sizes run small.

Ethical and comfy: Made of 80% rayon from bamboo, 13% nylon, and 7% spandex, these eco-friendly, ethically sourced panties will have you proud to wear them all day long. This cooling fabric doesn’t roll up or down, has moisture-wicking, superior breathability, and thermo-regulating capabilities, and most importantly -- keeps your secret and doesn’t show anyone those pantylines.

Choose from seven colors and ten sizes (some sizes come in a 2-pack). These beauties feature a low-rise, thong-cut, and silky smooth Boody G-String -- which is so cozy, you’ll forget you’re wearing it. Enjoy!

The problem with these? They’re said to run a bit on the small size. You might want to order a size up from the usual.

Warner's Women's No Pinching No Problem Seamless Hipster Panty

Pro: No pantylines, no muffin top, no wedgies.
Con: Frayed areas that pull apart more with time.

These panties do lots of jobs: These phenomenal panties not only hide your panty lines, but also prevent muffin top spillover with their beautifully wide waistband, prohibit wedgie-ish creeping, and provide full booty coverage. What’s more? The fronts come up just a little bit higher than a bikini would, so no worries about looking like you’re wearing granny panties either!

Select your favorite from among 5 sizes and 11 gorgeous colors like butterscotch, phlox pink, deep plum, baja blue, and toasted almond.

The downside is that some reported a frayed area on the inside of their undies upon opening the package (not all, just some). Anyway, return these for new ones if it happens to you. Also, some noted they run larger than expected, so you might want to try ordering a size smaller than your usual.

Wealurre Viscose Cotton Bikini Women's Breathable Seamless Comfort Underwear

Pro: Comfy solids and stripes in 4 or 6-packs.
Con: They run small and some say they’re glued together.

A classic in 5 sizes and 4/6 multi-packs: These are available in several impressive colors, (some are basic and made with 95% cotton and 5% spandex, and others are striped and made with 47% viscose and 47% cotton, and 6% spandex), as well as 3 sizes in packs of 4 or 6.

They all cover the backside nicely, not showing the cheeks but still sexy and conveniently tagless. They’ll definitely stay hidden under your jumpsuit. Most can’t even see the pantylines from these under their yoga or workout clothes!

All types are comfy and stretchy, but some feel the striped varieties are slightly more so due to the tiny bit of extra spandex in their composition. Buy some of each and compare for yourself! They’re easily machine washed and dried.

Now for the negatives: Some reported they run small and others couldn’t find elastic indicated on the package. A few customers even said theirs appeared to be glued together (which kind of explains why the seams are undetectable, but…) although not a large number of them. Most importantly: Just be sure you understand the return policy before you order in case you need an exchange or return.

Arabella Women's Plus Size Seamless Brief Panty

Pro: Luxuriously soft.
Con: Some reported theirs became worn out too soon.

Amazon’s brand, Arabella: Stretchy, comfy, and definitely true to size, these beloved panties come in soft hues of navy, calypso pink, sunbeige, black, white, and creole pink. They come in different eye-catching color varieties packaged by 3, seamless and smooth in a 93% nylon 7% spandex blend. They’re available in a range of sizes including plus sizes.

Want to find out for sure what your sizes should be? Take your measurements with a friend and consult the size chart they’ve provided.

The downside is the early noticeable wear and tear some previous customers reported. We’d like to again recommend hand washing and air drying to minimize this.

Ruxia Women's Seamless Nylon Spandex Stretch Boxer Boyshort Panties Briefs

Pro: Stellar quality boy shorts.
Con: Some reported they rolled up or down.

High quality and breathable: In colors like burgundy, black, purple, London blue, and melange, these cuties are available in 3 sizes divvied up into packs of 5. The light and breathable fabric is 90% nylon and 10% spandex with varying designs in solids or classical stripes.

Smooth and tagless, these boyshorts are stretchy but hold their own as well, keeping everything in place underneath your jumpsuit without a pantyline in sight! If you’re unsure of your sizing, take your measurements down and visit the size chart provided.

These work well underneath just about anything you decide to wear, and will keep you comfy all day. What’s more? Absolutely no seams will be evident when you put that jumpsuit on!

What’s the downside? Although some announced these don’t roll up or down, others disagreed with them and reported they, in fact, do both, and they also feel too thin to be of a high quality material. They’re also said to run a bit small, so if you want full backside coverage and no deeply peeking cheeks, go for at least a size larger than your usual.

What to Look For in Underwear for Jumpsuits

For those who don’t want to go commando (which pretty much solves everything), selecting a pair of undies to wear with a jumpsuit can take a lot of thought.

Here’s what we know for sure: you want to avoid pantylines. How can you do that? Let’s go over the ways:

Seamless Undies

When you want to show the world a classy and graceful look, it definitely doesn’t involve pantylines showing through the ass of your outfit. You want to look like you took at least a few minutes to consider the day’s ensemble -- not like you threw it together before you even turned the lights on.

Plenty of underwear brands make seamless options, and these are where you’ll need to focus your energy today. Grab some in a color that blends with your jumpsuit, and if you can’t find that, go with a natural flesh colored option. If you have trouble, give the whole SPANX seamless section a glance. You can rarely go wrong with them.

These were our favorites for a jumpsuit:

Boy Shorts

Cover your nether regions up with some extra cute boyshorts for a totally seamless appearance in your jumpsuit. No panty lines and no extra cheekiness.

Just make sure you’ve chosen a seamless design when you buy yours, and consider the colors closest to your jumpsuit or your skin color, as previously advised.

  • Cotton gusset

Thongs

Thongs are another excellent choice when you don’t want pantylines showing with your jumpsuits. Just make sure you’re accustomed to wearing them and don’t mind the feeling -- otherwise, you might be too uncomfortable to make it through the day.

Top Choice for Thongs: commando Low Rise Thong
  • 78% Nylon/22% Spandex
  • Eliminate panty lines in this laser-cut thong, 3-pack
  • Quick-drying stretch microfiber

Jumpsuits with Pockets on the Back or Other Distracting Features

If you can’t find the proper underwear, choosing a certain style of jumpsuit might do the trick instead.

Pockets on the backside of the jumpsuit, a looser-fitting jumpsuit, or a sash that ties at the waist can help camouflage pantylines by drawing the eye elsewhere.
